Columbia Elementary Replacement

The Columbia Elementary School Replacement was a two stage project. The first stage entailed the removal of the existing school as well as the surrounding area. The soccer field remained and was maintained through a coordinated effort by both the contractor and the district. The second stage involved the construction of the new school. It has a metal structure with deck and joist, covered by SBS-modified bituminous sheet roofing. The exterior finish is brick veneer and EIFS attached to structural studs. The main entry walkway is architectural concrete, with a map of the solar system that was created by using dyed concrete. In addition to this the parkways between the parking lots and the driveways were also done in stamped dyed concrete.
